The President shall, unless otherwise delegated, in whole or in part, chair the BOD, preside over all meetings, functions, special events, supervise all activities, and serve as an ex-officio member of all committees and act as official spokesman on all matters of public interest concerning the LOW VETS.
The Vice-President shall serve as a proxy for the President, as needed, and perform such other duties as required.
The Treasurer shall receive and deposit funds in the appropriate bank accounts, disperse funds and shall maintain account records. He/she will prepare an annual budget for approval by the membership as well as a statement of income and expenditures for presentation to the membership at regularly scheduled meetings.
The Secretary shall serve as the primary recorder and archivist of all activities including voting tabulations and the preparation of minutes of each general membership and BOD meeting. He/she will ensure that the minutes of the previous meeting are sent to members electronically and well in advance of the next meeting to allow ample time for review and comment. The Secretary shall ensure that General Membership Meeting minutes are posted on the Web site.
The Director of Internal Communications shall be responsible for all membership activities including current membership databases and collecting of annual dues. He/she will also keep the Low Veterans Website current with timely and informative Veteran’s news and activities
The Director of External Communications shall keep the local community appraised of the activities of the Veterans Club by writing and publishing timely articles in the Lake Current bi-monthly newsletter.
The Quartermaster shall be in charge of keeping an accurate inventory of all supplies, ordering and selling clothing supplies and ballcaps. He will also order and distribute name tags for the membership.
The Immediate Past President will serve as an Emeritus Board Member with a “voice but no vote” capacity. He/she will serve as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee to identify officers for the next year of service.
